In one of the best college football weekends of the year, who the heck is thinking about the 11/11 free NBA pick? The answer is nobody, which is why it’s the perfect time to slip one past the oddsmakers and they’ve given us a great opportunity to do so on Saturday night.
Apparently there’s no grace period for the Cavs to deal with some early season injuries and welcome some new additions into their system. Cleveland has started off 5-7 but experts and fans alike have basically predicted that as their demise. For the 11/11 NBA free pick the Cavs will try to get a winning streak going as they take on the 2-10 Dallas Mavericks.
Does Cleveland Finally Start Rolling?
The Cavs are coming off a hard fought 113-117 loss to Houston on Thursday night, their sixth loss in eight games. The Cavs have won two of the last four however following that heralded four game losing streak that featured a 19 point loss at home to the Knicks and a 17 point loss to the Pacers. Cleveland even got beat by two versus Atlanta 115-117 three games ago so they’re not out of the woods yet.
It’s pretty easy to pinpoint Cleveland’s struggles and its on the defensive end. The Cavs allow 114 PPG which is 28th in the NBA. Opponents shoot 48.3% from the field (29th) including 41.1% from 3-point range which is last in the league. Dallas has a few scorers that can give the Cavs fits in the 11/11 free NBA pick including Harrison Barnes, rookie Dennis Smith, Jr. and possibly the ghost of Dirk Nowitzki.
Over the last two games, @TheRealJRSmith is averaging 16.5 points on 52% shooting, including a .533 mark from deep. #CavsMavs KEYS: https://t.co/tN7M2D4vmR pic.twitter.com/YBM343gNy1

Third Win for the Mavs Coming?
Atlanta’s victory over the Cavs gives hope to Dallas that a two win team can pull off the upset. The Mavs even come in on a winning streak having toppled Washington by 14 points on Tuesday. In that game Barnes poured in 31 while Smith, Jr. chipped in 22.
The fact that Dallas played on Tuesday is an 11/11 free NBA pick factor as well. That’s three days of rest for the young Mavs squad while the oldest team in the NBA (Cleveland) hasn’t had two days off in a row yet in November and won’t for another week.

11/11 Free NBA Pick – Betting
The oddsmakers were very kind to Dallas (or Cleveland depending on which way you look at it) making the Cavs just -4 road favorites. Bettors quickly jumped on that line pushing it to Cleveland -6. A whopping 81% of the public is liking that line – which is a good thing for our side.
Dallas is fresh and Cleveland can’t stop anybody regardless. The Cavs are talented, but they’ve shown they can lose to literally anybody in the NBA. Even though Cleveland is struggling, they’re still an NBA rock show and home teams grind it up a notch when the Cavs are in town. That’s just what the Mavs aim to do Saturday night and they’ve actually got the talent to pull it off. The ML is looking nice, but take the points just in case considering the line movement.
Pick: Dallas Mavericks -6.5
