New Year’s Day has some of the biggest games. The day starts with the Outback Bowl with Mississippi State and Iowa. Then there’s the Citrus Bowl featuring Kentucky and Penn State, Fiesta Bowl with #11 LSU and #8 UCF, and Rose Bowl which has #9 Washington playing #6 Ohio State. That day finishes up with the Sugar Bowl as #15 Texas takes on #5 Georgia. The CFP Semifinals are held on Dec. 29 with the championship being decided on Jan. 7, 2019. One of four teams, Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, or Oklahoma will take home the trophy.
