The final game of the 2023-24 college basketball season is set to take place on Monday night. This matchup will feature the Purdue Boilermakers taking on the UConn Huskies in what should be an absolute battle.
Purdue comes into this game with an overall record of 34-4 and they have been one of the best teams in the country all season long. The Boilermakers were able to get past the NC State Wolfpack in order to earn a spot in the national championship game.

The Boilermakers are allowing less than 70 points per game this season and that defense will need to stand tall in this matchup. Purdue can score points in a hurry, but they will need to step up on defense if they are going to win this matchup.
Huskies Loaded With Talent
The UConn Huskies are a team with a number of players that will likely be a Lottery pick during the 2024 NBA Draft. UConn is scoring over 81 points per game this season, but they have also been able to slow teams down with their defense.
Tristen Newton is leading the team with 14.9 points per game this season, bug there are four other players scoring double-figures. UConn has the ability to score points in a hurry or they can also be nearly impossible to stop in the half court.
The Huskies struggled on defense against Alabama, but this team can get some stops when they need to set the tone on that end of the floor.
UConn Gets Job Done
Purdue has been on a terrific redemption tour this season, and they have been beating some great teams along the way. The Boilermakers will ride Zach Edey as much as they can in this game, but at some point that just won’t work.
UConn is a team that is absolutely loaded with weapons and this team just continues to find a way to win games in the second half. The Huskies are going to take control of this game in the second half as this offense will once again have a big performance.
