College Football Upset of the Day
Iowa State Cyclones at Baylor Bears
Baylor and Iowa State find themselves in opposite positions as they head into the 11/18 college football upset potential. ISU was riding high with one of the best resumes in the country after beating Oklahoma and TCU. Then the Cyclones fell – and hard – with excruciatingly close back to back losses to West Virginia and Oklahoma State.
Baylor on the other hand would love to be in the position of the 6-4 Cyclones as the Bears sit at just 1-9 on the season. That being said, Baylor might be the best 1-9 team in the nation – if that’s a thing?
Iowa State – Rebound or Free Fall?
ISU has lost two in a row, both in close games. The Cyclones lost 16-20 at #25 West Virginia two weeks ago and in a 42-49 shootout defeat versus #13 Oklahoma State a week ago. Granted Iowa State was underdogs in both of those games, but they were winnable and an 8-2 record with that resume would’ve had the Cyclones rolling into the postseason.
As it stands, ISU is actually in a difficult spot for the 11/18 college football upset. The Cyclones starting QB Kyle Kempt is battling shoulder issues but should probably be good to go – especially against Baylor’s 120th ranked defense in total yards which includes #115 against the pass. On a bright note, RB David Montgomery comes in with momentum having topped 100 yards rushing in two straight games including tallying three scores last week.

How Does Baylor Pull Off the 11/18 College Football Upset?
The Bears have only been favored in one game over the past eight contests – and they got the 38-7 win over an equally atrocious 1-9 Kansas team as Baylor covered the -7 spread. That game was very significant not only because it gave Baylor their first win of the year, but because it showed they may have FINALLY found their offense. Freshman Charlie Brewer threw for 315 yards and 3 scores and followed that up with 417 yards and three more TDs last week against Texas Tech.
Brewer has been solid in his two starts, but Baylor as a whole hasn’t been as bad as their 1-9 record indicates – as weird as that sounds. The Bears lost by only two at home to West Virginia a couple weeks ago and fought Oklahoma to a 41-49 score earlier in the season. Baylor has the talent to pull off the 11/18 college football upset, specifically sophomore receiver Denzel Mims who has 1001 yards and 8 TDs this year. Mims is connecting well with Brewer too as evidenced by his 12 catches last week.

11/18 College Football Upset Betting
Iowa State is in a supreme letdown mode after dropping two huge games in a row. It’s not hard to see how the Cyclones could be overlooking Baylor on their trip to Waco. The Bears on the other hand appear to be finally clicking on offense with their freshman QB taking the snaps. The line opened at ISU -10 but has been bet down to -8 despite the fact that 56% of the public likes the ‘Clones. Those are all nice numbers, but the only ones you need to focus on is the +256 on the home team ML.
