The College Football Playoffs are set to take place on Monday, and there are a couple of huge games on the schedule. The Alabama Crimson Tide will take on the Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl Game on Monday evening.
Alabama was given the number four seed when the final rankings came out after finishing the regular season at 12-1. The Crimson Tide won the SEC Championship Game over Georgia and that allowed them to sneak into this field.
Michigan has been one of the best teams in the country all season long, and they were given the number one seed by the CFP Committee. The Wolverines won the Big Ten Conference again and have yet to lose a game all season long.
The Michigan Wolverines are 1.5-point betting favorites over the Alabama Crimson Tide in the first of two CFP semifinal games.
Crimson Tide Rolling on Offense
The Alabama Crimson Tide are always going to be a great defensive team, but it has been the offense that is setting the tone this year. Alabama is scoring 34.9 points per game, and they have faced a ton of great defenses in the SEC.
Quarterback Jalen Milroe was actually benched earlier this season, but he has now thrown for 2,718 yards and 23 touchdowns. Alabama is also a team that can attack opponents on the ground, and that balance makes it hard to stop.
The Crimson Tide defense will have to be great on the defensive line in this game, and that has been a strength all season long. Alabama will try to slow down the Wolverines and then let the offense take control.
Wolverines Win With Defense
The defensive numbers for the Michigan Wolverines have been impressive this season, and that unit will need to show up again. Michigan has been terrific against the run, but they are going to face an Alabama team that can throw the football.
Quarterback J.J. McCarthy has thrown for 2,630 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, and he also does a great job of taking care of the football. Running back Blake Corum has 24 rushing touchdowns this season, and he is going to be a huge key to this game.
Even though Michigan was able to put games away on defense this season, it’s going to take a big offensive effort to win this game as well.
Alabama Pulls Off Upset
The Michigan Wolverines have been absolutely dominant all season long, but they faced some inferior opponents in the Big Ten Conference. Michigan was able to dominant teams with defense, but that just won’t happen against the Crimson Tide.
This Alabama team has so much talent on both sides of the ball, and that offense is going to continue to roll in this game. After Alabama is able to take an early lead, look for that defense to take control and put the game away.
Bet on the upset in the Rose Bowl Game as the Alabama Crimson Tide are going to get to the title game.
