Minnesota Wild at Los Angeles Kings Betting Preview
The Minnesota Wild (5-5-1) will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Los Angeles Kings (7-6-1) in a very exciting NHL Matchup on Tuesday night. The Wild have had a very shaky start to their season so far, as they currently sit in fifth place in the Central Division.
The Los Angeles Kings have had an average start to their season this year, as they currently sit in third place in the Pacific Division. This should be a very high-paced game, and it should eventually come down to goaltending.
Tuesday’s game kicks off at 10:30 p.m. EST inside Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Minnesota Wild
The Minnesota Wild have had a tough start to their season, as they currently sit at .500 on the season. The team is coming off of a very ugly loss against the Seattle Kraken, where they were defeated 4-0 at home.
The Wild’s struggles have begun in between the pipes this season as goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has had a bad start. Fleury only has a .888 save percentage this season which is very low for his standards.
The team’s defense has been very poor this season as they are ranked 13th place for goals against this season. Their offense has been just as bad as they rank in 25th place in the NHL for goals scored this season with only 34 goals. The Wild need to clean up their game.
Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings have had a very average start to their season as they are one game over .500. The team is coming off a very good home win against the Florida Panthers 5-4.
The Kings’ struggles have also started in the net, as Jonathan Quick has only recorded a .890 save percentage this season.
The offense has been incredible this season as they rank in fourth place in the NHL in goals scored with 48. On the other hand, their defense has been horrendous as they rank in third place for goals against with 53.
The Kings need to find a way to clean up their defensive zone if they want to be a legit team this season.
The Pick is In
The Wild and the Kings are listed at -110 for this matchup, and the puck line is set at -1.5 with +225 odds for the Wild and +1.5 with -275 odds for the Kings.
I am going to have to go with the Kings in this matchup. The Kings are the home team, and the Kings also have one of the best offenses in the league.
The Wild also have one of the worst offenses in the league, so I do not see them scoring a lot on Jonathan Quick. The Kings are also coming off a huge win over the Panthers. My money is on the Kings’ moneyline for this exciting NHL matchup.
The Pick: Kings -110
