NBA March 30th Grizzlies at Spurs Betting Preview
Memphis Tries to Lock Up #2 Seed
San Antonio has crawled their way back into postseason contention, but have a tough challenge ahead of them in the Wednesday March 30th Grizzlies at Spurs betting contest. Gregg Popovich’s squad holds the tiebreaker over the Lakers for the #10 seed, but Memphis has won five straight.
The Grizzlies still have something to play for as they try to lock in the #2 seed in the Western Conference, but that seems like a foregone conclusion at this point – up five games on the Warriors with six to play. Memphis has won 9 of their last 10 and seems like they’re going to keep playing hard all the way through the end of the regular season.
Can Grizzlies Keep It Going on the Road?
Memphis has won five straight, the last of which came at home and included victories over the Bucks (127-102) and Nets (132-120). The Grizzlies offense has scored at least 120 points in each of their five wins,, but have also held four opponents to 103 points or less.
It’s been balance and depth that have been the key to Memphis’ offensive success as of late – especially as the team continues to play without Ja Morant (knee). In Monday’s 123-95 win over Golden State, Dillon Brooks, Desmond Bane, and De’Anthony Melton all had at least 20 points. The win put the Grizzlies’ mark to 18-2 without Morant this season.
Spurs Back in the Hunt
Both the Lakers and Spurs are 31-44 this season but San Antonio is the current holder of the #10 seed due to owning the tie breaker. Los Angeles is in a slump, but the March 30th Grizzlies at Spurs matchup is still a must win for San Antonio, who has collected four victories in a row.
Dejounte Murray has been the driving factor behind San Antonio’s win streak, scoring a career high 33 points on Monday albeit against last place Houston. Murray posted a 15/11/13 triple double over the weekend as well. Keldon Johnson has also played well as of late, scoring at least 21 points in three straight.

Memphis is a -5.5 favorite on Wednesday night as they go for their 6th win in a row. The Grizzlies are also 3-0 vs. San Antonio this season but are playing their first road contest after having the last four at home. Memphis is 23-8 ATS their last 31 as a favorite, and 22-9 ATS in their last 31 on the road.
San Antonio is on a win streak overall, but are just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 overall. That includes failing to cover the number in four straight at home, and going just 1-8 ATS in their last 9 as home underdogs. The Spurs are back at the AT&T Center after a four game road swing but 78% of the betting public are still backing the Grizzlies.
March 30th Grizzlies vs Spurs Betting Pick
Memphis has shown some nice balance on offense and have actually been great without Morant this season. The star PG did have 41 points to lead a win in Memphis’ only trip to San Antonio this year and that will be sorely missed on Wednesday. 5.5 points is just too many to give the way that Murray is playing right now.
