Dallas has become the darlings of the NFL as they’ve moved to 10-3 after asserting their dominance in a 33-13 win over the rival Eagles on Sunday night. That puts Mike McCarthy’s team in a bit of a letdown spot in the week 15 Cowboys at Bills betting matchup, but Buffalo is in a very similar situation after outlasting the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs 20-17 last Sunday.
Oddsmakers have Buffalo as a -2.5 favorite in this spot, and this feels like the game where the Bills start to get hot while Dallas falters. 66% of the public are still Cowboys believers though and are taking the points, either way this should be a great test for both clubs.
Why the Cowboys Have Value at +2.5
Aside from the 28-16 hiccup at Atlanta in week 3 the Cowboys’ other losses have come at San Francisco and at Philadelphia – tough road contests that have established Dallas as part of the NFC’s elite. That doesn’t mean that the visit to Buffalo will be easy, but the Cowboys have great momentum right now as winners of five straight and seven of their last eight.
Dallas sure looks to be playing their best football at the right time of the year after last week’s 33-13 dismantling of the Eagles. That makes it five straight games that the Cowboys have scored at least 33+ points during their five game win streak, with Dak Prescott playing at an MVP level with 15 TDs to just 1 INT over that span.
This would normally be a game to fade Dallas in the letdown mode, but Buffalo has ran quite the gauntlet the past couple weeks themselves in falling 37-34 in OT at the Eagles and the field goal win at Kansas City last Sunday. There has to be some mental exhaustion on the Bills’ sideline as the playoff crunch continues to tighten.
Why the Bills Have Value at -2.5
Buffalo has had a couple tough trips to Philly and K.C. the past two weeks, but they easily could have came away with wins in both of those games on the road against the two teams that were in the Super Bowl last season. The Bills’ schedule has been tough – but Sunday marks the first time Dallas has played a road game since November 19th, and that really didn’t count since it was at Carolina (33-10).
The Bills are in a must-win on Sunday, sitting at 7-6 which currently has them in the #9 seed in the AFC and out of the playoffs. Buffalo’s mantra is just to get in the postseason and anything can happen, and they’ve got very winnable games against the Chargers and Patriots coming up before a finale at Miami that could decide the division.
Josh Allen needs to go toe to toe with Prescott on Sunday afternoon, and we’ll likely see some rain at Highmark Stadium which could slow down the Cowboys high powered offense. Allen tossed for 339 in the close loss to another NFC East team the Eagles, similar numbers would put Buffalo in a good shot vs. the Cowboys.
Free Week 15 Cowboys at Bills Betting Pick
Dallas is playing in their first road test in a minute, but this really looks like it could be the year for the Cowboys. Allen is an elite talent for Buffalo, but he turns the ball over a ton – something that probably won’t get remedied with some sloppy weather coming to upper New York. Dallas on a roll getting points – yes, please.
Free Pick: Cowboys +2.5
