Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins Betting Preview – Week 2 TNF
The Buffalo Bills are on the road at the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football to kick off Week Two of the 2024 season. Both the Bills and Dolphins won their Week One affair. The Buffalo Bills beat the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 34-28. Buffalo is the defending AFC East Champion, and won both meetings against Miami a season ago.
For the Dolphins, they needed a late field, but won at home over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Dolphins finished second in the division a season ago, and reached the postseason, but fell in the first game.
The Miami Dolphins come into this game as the favorite. The Dolphins are -2.5 over the Buffalo Bills. The total is listed at 50.5.
Quarterback Injury Possible
The biggest question mark coming into this game is the status of Josh Allen. The signal caller was brilliant in the Week One win, but hurt his hand late in the game. He finished the game with two passing touchdowns, and two more on the ground. Allen was 18 of 23 and did not turn the ball over in the game.
Keon Coleman, out of Michigan State and Florida State led the team with 51 yards. Khalil Shakir was second and caught one of the two touchdown passes. The other went to Mack Hollins for Buffalo. James Cook also caught three passes for 32 yards in the game.
The run game was anchored by Cook. He got 19 carries, and picked up 71 yards in the game. Allen finished with 39 yards on the ground himself, along with those two touchdowns. Buffalo will play on Monday Night Football in Week 3. The Bills will host the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Tua and Dolphins have Revenge on Mind
There is no doubt that the Miami Dolphins have revenge on their mind following getting swept by the Bills a season ago. The winner of this game is the favorite going forward to winning the AFC East. It was a crazy day for Tyreke Hill, the top receiver for the Dolphins.
After getting detained by police before the game, he finished with 7 receptions, 130 yards and a touchdown. His longest touchdown was 80 yards. Jaylen Waddle was second on the team with five receptions, 109 yards, but did not get into the end zone.
The run game was an issue for the Dolphins. They ran the ball 25 times for just 81 yards. The Dolphins saw De’Von Achane run the only touchdown on the ground. Miami is on the road next SUnday at the Seattle Seahawks. They then play on Monday Night Football in Week 4 at home against the Tennessee Titans.
Dolphins Swim by Bills
We are going to take the Miami Dolphins, mostly due to the injury concern with Josh Allen. If Allen cannot go in this game, you will see the spread balloon in favor of the Miami Dolphins. Allen is tough, but in Week Two, not sure this is the time to test it. The Dolphins get their offense going and win this game going away. Take the Dolphins 31-21 over the Buffalo Bills. Enjoy the game and take the Dolphins -2.5.
