Week 11 of the NFL season is filled with some big games, and there is a great NFC North rivalry set to take place as well. The Detroit Lions will host the Chicago Bears, and these are two of the longest rivals in the National Football League.
The Chicago Bears are coming into this game with a record of 3-7, but they are a team that can cause some trouble. Chicago is coming into this game with some momentum after picking up a 16-13 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 10.
Detroit is one of the best teams in the NFL this season as they bring a 7-2 record into this Week 11 matchup. The Lions have also been playing some great football of late as they have won four of their last five games on the year.
The Detroit Lions are 7.5-point betting favorites over the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon at Ford Field.
Bears Must Get Stops
If the Chicago Bears are going to find a way to win this game then the defense is going to have to show up in a major way. Chicago is allowing 25.5 points per game this season, and that unit has actually been much worse than that at some points this season.
The defense could get a boost from a better offensive output as well, and the Bears might be looking better on that side of the ball. Chicago is expected to have Justin Fields make his return from injury on Sunday, and that should provide this team with a boost.
The Bears are scoring just 20.6 points per game, but they have a rushing attack than can give the best teams in the league some problems.
Lions Rolling on Offense
The Detroit Lions are scoring 26.8 points per game this season, and that team has the ability to score points in a hurry. Detroit is allowing 22.6 points per game on defense though, and that number will have to improve.
Quarterback Jared Goff has thrown for 2,507 yards this season, and he has also done a great job of taking care of the football. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of the best players in the league, and he has racked up 821 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
This defense does need to find a way to slow down opponents better, but they should be able to get a ton of pressure on Justin Fields in this one.
Lions Blowout the Bears
Even though the Bears are expected to get Justin Fields back for this game, that hasn’t always led to a ton of success this season. The defense of the Bears will be tested in a big way in this game, and that unit hasn’t proven that it can get some stops.
There doesn’t appear to be anything slowing down the Detroit Lions this season, and they are going to put on an offensive show in this game. Detroit will need to get some pressure on Justin Fields, but that offense is going to take control and lead the way in this one.
Bet the Detroit Lions -7.5 over the Chicago Bears as the home team is going to have little trouble in this matchup.
