There are a pair of games set to take place on Monday Night Football, including an interesting matchup in the NFC. The Green Bay Packers are going to visit the New York Giants and both teams have started to turn things around.
Green Bay is coming into this game with a record of 6-6, and they have played their way back into the playoff race. The Packers have rattled off three straight wins, including a huge win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13.
New York has won two straight games, but that has only gotten them back to 4-8 on the season. The Giants are not going to factor into the playoff race, but they do have some momentum ahead of Week 14.
The Packers are 6.5-point favorites on the road over the Giants on Monday Night Football.
Love Leading the Packers
The Green Bay Packers made the decision to let Aaron Rodgers go at the end of last season, and it looked like a mistake to begin the year. Jordan Love has started to play much better for the Packers, and this offense now has a ton of momentum.
Love has now thrown for 2,866 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, and he has started to take care of the ball. Green Bay hasn’t been able to run the football effectively all season, and that’s going to be a key in this game.
This Packers defense has also struggled throughout the year, but they just held the Kansas City Chiefs to just 19 points in a big effort in Week 13.
Giants Must Defend
The New York Giants are scoring just 13.3 points per game this season, and that’s just not good enough to win games with any consistency. New York has been battling injuries all season long, and rookie Tommy DeVito is now playing quarterback.
This defense is allowing 24.3 points per game, but some of those points are because there has been some bad offensive play. New York will try to put pressure on Jordan Love in an attempt to create some turnovers.
Look for the Giants to also run the ball with Saquon Barkley in an effort to take some time off of the clock. New York can’t afford for this game to become a shootout or they just won’t be able to keep pace.
Packers Roll on Monday Night
This New York Giants team has started to play much better of late, but they just don’t have much of an offensive attack. Now that the Packers are starting to score points, it could be a long night for the Giants.
Look for Jordan Love to have another big game for the Packers, and that offense is eventually going to take control. New York just doesn’t score enough touchdowns to win this game at home, and they also can’t cover the spread.
Bet the Green Bay Packers -6.5 as they are going to pick up an impressive win over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.
