Jaguars Looking to Break Out
The Jaguars paid Trevor Lawrence in the off-season, and they are hoping it will pay off long-term. The signal caller completed 65.6% of his passes for more than 4,000 yards last season. He threw 21 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The big stat was he was sacked 35 times in 2024.
His top target was Calvin Ridley. Ridley is no longer with the team. Instead, Christian Kirk, Gabe Davis, and newcomer Brain Thomas Jr. are in the mix. Evan Engram remains as the tight end for the Jaguars.
At running back Travis Etienne is set for a monster season. Last season, he just went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark. He finished with 11 touchdowns and did lose a fumble all season long. The Jaguars will play their first home game in Week Two. They will host the Cleveland Browns.
Home Miami Dolphins
Last season the Dolphins were one of the best offensive teams in the National Football League. Their quarterback Tua Tagovailoa played all 17 games and completed 388 passes for 4,624 yards. He had 29 touchdowns on the season as well.
His top target, Tyreek Hill led the league in receiving yards. He had more than 1,790 on the season. Hill also led the team with 13 touchdowns. Jaylen Waddle was next with 4 on the season. The run game had the duo of Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane. They combined for 1,800 yards and 26 touchdowns.
The Miami Dolphins will face the Buffalo Bills in Week Two. That is a huge divisional game early in the season. That game will take place on Thursday Night.
