Harbaugh Unbeaten in Early Going

It has been a great start for the Chargers’ new head coach Jim Harbaugh. After leaving Michigan following a National Championship, he won his first two games as an NFL head coach. The Chargers defense has been the big story, allowing just 6.5 points per game.

On the offensive side, Justin Herbert has new weapons this season. Gone are Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen. J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards are the top rushing threats. They have rushed 56 times for over 340 yards and 2 touchdowns to far this season. Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey are the top receiving options. Johnston had two touchdowns in Week 2.

The Chargers will host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. Following a bye, the Chsargers are on the road at the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals. That makes four out of their first five games this season on the road.

Steelers Seek First Home Win

The Pittsburgh Steelers, led by Mike Tomlin play their first home game of the 2024 season. The Steelers defense has been even better than Los Angeles. Pittsburgh is allowing teams to score just 8 points per game.

Justin Fields has been the starting quarterback through the first two games, and he is 30 of 43 for 273 yards and a touchdowns. Fields has yet to throw an interception, and has been sacked just four times. George Pickens has caught 8 passes, and so has Pat Friermuth. Neither have scored a touchdown. The lone offensive touchdown for Pittsburgh came from Darnell Washington.

Pittsburgh will play on the road at the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. After that, they will head back home and take on the Dallas Cowboys, before a trip to Vegas to battle the Raiders in Week 6.

Steelers Move to 3-0

The Pittsburgh Steelers are playing solid football. While the Chargers are as well, the defense of the Steelers is what is going to put them over the top. Pittsburgh moves to 3-0 with Justin Fields under center. When we go to make our final bet for this game, we are going to take the Pittsburgh Steelers -2 over the Los Angeles Chargers.
