High Expectations for Philadelphia
The Philadelphia Eagles have high expectations for the 2024 season. Head coach Nick Sirianni is feeling the heat as the head coach, especially following the late collapse on Monday Night Football. The Eagles are scoring 27.5 points per game in the early going of the season.
The Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has thrown three touchdowns, but also three interceptions this season. His top target has been Devonta Smith. Smith replaced AJ Brown, who is likely out a couple more games. Smith has 14 receptions for a touchdown and 160 yards.
Saquon Barkley has two rushing and one receiving touchdown through his first three games. The big play though was the drop by the former Giants running which gave Atlanta a chance to get the ball back, which they used for a game-winning score. The Eagles are in Tampa Bay next weekend.
Red Hot New Orleans
Derek Carr has been terrific for the Saints to start the season. The signal-caller has completed 30 of 39 passes for 449 yards and five touchdowns. He does have an interception and has been sacked twice. His top target has been Rashid Shaheed, averaging nearly 85 yards per game, and has two touchdowns.
Alvin Kamara had a monster game on Sunday after Dallas. He scored four touchdowns and now has five on the season. He has rushed 35 times for nearly 200 yards on the season. Jamaal Williams also has 19 carries and a touchdown for New Orleans.
The Saints will head out on the road following this game for back-to-back games. The Saints are at the Falcons on Sunday and then will play at the Chiefs in Week 5.
Saints Top Eagles and Stay Unbeaten
We like this game a lot. The Saints are coming off back-to-back really nice wins. Are they as good as their 45.5 points per game pace? Probably not, but it has been impressive so far. The Eagles are coming off a tough loss, and have high expectations. The loss of AJ Brown is a big one for Philadelphia though. We look for the Eagles to struggle to keep up with the Saints offense. New Orleans wins this game 31-20 over the Eagles on Sunday. Enjoy the game!
