A pair of NFC teams will play the final game of Week 4 in the National Football League. The Seattle Seahawks are on the road at the Detroit Lions. The Seattle Seahawks are one of two NFC teams without a loss on the season. Seattle is 3-0 and holds a two-game lead over the rest of the NFC West. The Seahawks are coming off an impressive 24-3 win over the Miami Dolphins.
For Detroit, they are looking to get back to the NFC title game like a season ago. The Lions are 2-1 on the season, and coming off a win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3. The Lions are a game behind Minnesota and tied with Green Bay in the divisional standings.
The Detroit Lions come into the game at -3.5 over the Seattle Seahawks.
Red Hot Seahawks
One of the biggest surprises to start the season are teh Seattle Seahawks. Wins over Denver, New England, and Miami have them atop their division. This is the first season for head coach Mike Macdonald following the long tenure of Pete Carroll.
Geno Smith is the leader offensively. The quarterback has tossed for 787 yards and three touchdowns through the first three games. The Seahawks have won the last two games without their top running back Kenneth Walker. Zach Charbonnet has been the top running back and has three touchdowns.
The Seahawks have seen DK Metcalf get off to a quick start, with 17 receptions for 262 yards and 2 touchdowns. Seattle will host the New York Giants in Week 5, and then welcome San Francisco to town for Week 6.
Campbell’s Lions
The Lions are led by their veteran quarterback Jared Goff. Goff has thrown the football for more than 720 yards on the season, but just three touchdowns. Jameson Williams has been his top target in the first three games. Williams has 209 yards and a touchdown on 11 receptions.
The run game for Detroit is a strength as well. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs have combined for 91 carries for 438 yards, along with 4 rushing touchdowns. The Lions are hoping to get Amon-Ra St. Brown going more. He has 21 receptions, but just one touchdown on the season.
The Lions will take their bye week following this game. After the bye, the Lions are on the road for back-to-back games. Detroit will head to Dallas and then Minnesota, before hosting the Titans to finish October.
Lions Smack Seahawks
The Detroit Lions are back at home. The Lions feel like they are the team to beat in the NFC. Seeing Seattle come into their place and have the best record in the league is not going to be something they take lightly. Look for Dan Campbell and the Lions to take care of business early and often in this game. Our final bet for this game is the Detroit Lions -3.5 over the Seattle Seahawks.
