Saturday June 20th XFinity Series Unhinged 300 Betting Pick
Talladega Takes Center Stage This Weekend
Unhinged 300 betting preview written by Betting Brain NASCAR Expert Cliff “Tire Wear” Johnson
Dear Nascar fans, looking back on the 2019 Xfinity series race at Talladega it was #23 Spencer Gallagher who finished 1st from GMS Racing. In 2nd was #19 Brandon Jones of Joe Gibbs racing and #7 Justin Allgaier rounded out the top 3 for JR Motorsports. We should be looking at those teams finishing near the head of the pack again in Unhinged 300 betting,
Talladega Superspeedway races have been known in the past as 1/2 demo derby, 1/2 stock car racing. Talladega is longer and faster than Daytona which leads to the unpredictability. Ross Chastain is the favorite for Unhinged 300 betting on Saturday afternoon (5:30 PM EST FS1) but at just +550. Justin Haley gets the pole in this one at +925 to win and standings leader Noah Gragson has value at +700. Let’s get to the picks:
Jesse Little +21500
Let’s look at a huge sleeper pick right off the bat in Jesse Little. I like him to be up front with about 5 to go fighting for the 1st win in his career. The 23-year-old son of Chad Little needs to start coming into his own and did finish 15th last Sunday in Homestead. Worth a small play with great ROI in Unhinged 300 betting.
Pick: Jesse Little to win +21500
Justin Allgaier +725
Justin Allgaier starts 12th on Saturday and is a nice pick to avoid the pits as he finished 3rd in this race in the 2019 season. Allgaier sits in 8th in the standings while still looking for his first win of the ’20 Xfinity Series. The #7 Chevy finished 6th in Atlanta, but has racked up a 22nd place and a 32nd place the last two. He’ll be roaring to bounce back at a superspeedway on Saturday.
Pick: Driver head to head Allgaier -115 over Chase Briscoe -115
Harrison Burton +1200
Harrison Burton is starting in the 11th spot in Unhinged 300 but looks to aim way higher than that by the race’s end. Burton is gearing towards a top 3 finish as it seems with 30 laps or less to go he silently sneaks up through the field. Burton won the Hooters 250 last Saturday in Homestead and has finished in the top 5 in 3 of the last 4 Xfinity races. The #20 Toyota is 3rd in the standings this season.
Pick: Driver head to head H. Burton -135 over Jeb Burton
Noah Gragson +700
You’ve got to like Noah Gragson in some capacity today whether it is to win outright or just in head-to-head wagers. Gragson is the Xfinity standings leader with 435 points (Briscoe 2nd with 417). The #9 Chevy finished 5th and 3rd in the two races at Homestead with a 2nd in Atlanta and a win in Bristol prior to that.
Pick: Driver head to head Gragson -110 over Ross Chastain -120
A. J. Allmendinger +825
AJ Allmendinger walked away from Homestead $100,000 richer after winning the Dash 4 Cash bonus over the other three eligible drivers (Gragson, Haley, Daniel Hemric). Overall Allmendinger finished 4th on Sunday to follow up his win in Atlanta during his last two Xfinity races. Allmendinger has raced 18 times at Talladega and although his results have been very mixed – that experience is valuable over the younger Xfinity drivers.
Pick: Driver head to head Allmendinger -130 over Austin Cindric
