Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Chargers Betting Preview

Playoff implications are on the line when the Los Angeles Chargers (7-6, 3-3 home) host the Tennessee Titans (7-6, 4-3 away) in an AFC clash. The Week 15 matchup is the first meeting between the two franchises since 2019.
The kickoff of Sunday’s contest is at 4:25 p.m. EST inside SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Los Angeles is a three-point favorite, and the over/under total is 46.5 points.

What to Know – Tennessee Titans

Tennessee limps into the final month of the regular season, losing three straight and two of those by double-digits. Even with the losing streak, the Titans remain atop the AFC South standings as the only team in the division with a winning record.

Offensively, Tennessee sits near the bottom of the NFL, scoring 18.5 points and averaging 296.9 yards of total offense per game. The Titans’ defense is in the upper half of the league, holding opponents to 21.2 points and 365.0 yards of offense.

On the injury front, the Titans will be without rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks for the second-straight week after suffering a concussion. Burks was emerging as a primary target for Tannehill. Defensively, Tennessee will be missing starting defensive backs Armani Hooker and Kristian Fulton.

The Titans are 8-5 against the spread this season with a 5-2 mark ATS on the road. Tennessee is 0-6 ATS in its previous six games on the road against the Chargers.

What to Know – Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers picked up a huge win last week, defeating the Miami Dolphins, 23-17, at home. If the season ended now, L.A. would be in, but a loss would push the Chargers outside the playoff picture with three weeks to play.
Los Angeles ranks in the middle of the NFL, averaging 22.7 points and 357.4 yards of offense per contest. The defense for L.A. falls on the lower end of the league, surrendering 25.1 points and 359.9 yards of offense to opposing teams.

Entering the Week 15 contest, the Chargers are relatively healthy on the offensive front. Right tackle Trey Pipkins III has a questionable tag as the only offensive player on the injury report. The defense is banged up with Joey Bosa and J.C. Jackson on the IR and Derwin James Jr. doubtful for the matchup.

Los Angeles is also 8-5 ATS this year and 3-3 ATS when playing at home. The Chargers are 6-3 ATS over the last nine games against teams from the AFC.

The Pick is In

Tennessee and Los Angeles would both like wins to solidify their playoff chances. The Chargers are in a tougher spot sitting second in the AFC West, while the Titans are in line to win their division.

Los Angeles has played good football over the recent weeks, while that can’t be said for the Titans. Look for the Chargers to keep up the solid play and knock off Tennessee at home by four.
