We are going with three picks in this fourth week of college football. Our three college football 2017 week four picks offer Boston College (1-2) at #2 Clemson (3-0) at 3:30 p.m., #16 TCU (3-0) at #6 Oklahoma State (3-0) at 3:30 p.m., and #17 Miss State at #11 Georgia at 7:00 p.m. In these three games, Clemson is heavily favored, Oklahoma State is moderately favored, and Georgia is being given the standard -3.5 home field advantage. Here are our three college football 2017 week four picks.
Boston College (1-2) at #2 Clemson (3-0)
Here’s the way we’re seeing this one. Clemson has a tough defense that should shutdown freshman QB Anthony Brown (55.5 COMP%, 5 TDs, 6 INTs). We expect the Eagles to score seven or fewer points. At the same time, we think that the Tiger offense will generate a lot of points in this game. You have a Clemson offense that has generated 519 yards per game going up against a defense that allowing 429 YPG. BC is especially vulnerable against the run.
Our Pick: Clemson at -32.0 and over 52.5
#16 TCU (3-0) at #6 Oklahoma State (3-0)
The TCU Horned Frogs certainly have their work cut out for them when they visit the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Both teams have been hammering their opponents and both bring very fine defenses. The Cowboys have a bit better offense and the Horned Frogs offense is a tad better. This will be a battle of two QBs, Kenny Hill of TCU and Mason Rudolph Oklahoma State. In the end, we like State by 10 points and the over. This could easily be a 55-42 game.
Our Pick: Oklahoma State at -10.0 and over 70.5
#17 Miss State (3-0) at #11 Georgia (3-0)
Finally, of our three college football 2017 week four picks, the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Georgia Bulldogs game is the toughest call. We do like the over at 47.0. That’s despite the fact that both teams have great D. Georgia is allowing while State is giving up 9.3. Why are we taking the over? First, for college football it’s relatively low. Also, both teams have potent offenses run by QBs who can really sling the ball. Along with the over, we’re taking the Bulldogs of Mississippi State at +3.5.
