Wednesday May 20th NASCAR Toyota 500 Betting Guide
Bonus Racing Wednesday From Darlington
Racing returned on Sunday and whether fans were in attendance or not, the Real Heroes 400 delivered. Kevin Harvick took home the checkered flag for his 1st win of the season. It’s a quick turnaround for this condensed season and the NASCAR Toyota 500 betting gets back in action right away with a Wednesday race.
Here’s a look at a few picks with great ROI potential in NASCAR Toyota 500 betting.
Kevin Harvick +450
Kevin Harvick definitely knows the track after winning at Darlington on Sunday. Harvick led 159 of the 293 laps and is the favorite for Toyota 500 betting. Harvick started 6th on Sunday, but will have to come from 20th on Wednesday to record his second straight W, and the 51st of his career. Harvick has three top 5 finishes on the season (+130 top 3, -200 top 5).
Pick: Harvick top 3 +130
Alex Bowman (+725)
There’s great value on Alex Bowman on Wednesday considering he is 2nd in points to Harvick on the season. Bowman made a run at Harvick in the Real Heroes 400 on Sunday, but laid up with about 25 laps to go. Bowman still secured the 2nd place finish and led 41 laps at Darlington, his second top 5 of the season. Bowman has shown he can finish as well, winning the Auto Club 400 in the second-to-last race before the Covid cancellation.
Pick: Bowman top 5 EVEN
Jimmie Johnson (+1400)
There’s great return on investment for Jimmie Johnson who was cruising towards a victory in the first stage before colliding with Chris Buescher 1/2 a lap before the finish. Johnson has won 3X at the ‘Lady in Black‘ in his career and getting anxious to end the longest winless streak of his career which has now extended to 100 races. Johnson looked like the car to beat before blowing out his tire Sunday however.
Pick: Driver H2H Johnson over Keselowski (+110)
Clint Bowyer +3300
Clint Bowyer didn’t lead a single lap on Sunday, but still finished 17th while picking up 30 points. Bowyer starts in 4th on Wednesday, up 9 spots from the last race. Bowyer has the fastest car of the top 7 and is teammates with Harvick who knows a thing or two about leading at Darlington. Bowyer finished 6th at Darlington last September and has always done relatively well at super speedways.
Pick: Bowyer top 5 +450
Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. +17500
Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. is ready to get out of the gates early on Wednesday after getting spun out on turn 2 Sunday. Stenhouse was the only driver not to finish a lap at the Real Heroes 400 and will be coming out of the 39 spot for the Toyota 500. That being said, Stenhouse has now finished 40th and 33rd in his last two at Darlington. Ryan Preece finished in the top 20 on Sunday and is the pole sitter for Wednesday.
Pick: Driver H2H Ryan Preece over Ricky Stenhouse (+120)
