Plus, rookie running back Ezekiel Elliot (322 ATT, 1,631 YDs, 5.1 AVG, 15 TDs) has been amazingly productive and has a chance to break Eric Dickerson’s rookie record for rushing yards. He needs 178 more to do so. Elliot also has 32 catches 363 yards and one TD, He’s averaging 11.3 YPC. Dallas has four solid receivers. The offense is averaging 27.2 PPG.
The Eagle defense, which is holding teams to 21.2 PPG, has played well. They have 14 interceptions, 17 forced fumbles with 10 recovered, and 31 sacks. They’ve defended 70 passes and made 54 TFL. DE Brandon Graham (5.5 Sacks, 9 TFL, 2 FF) leads the club in sacks, while LBs Jordan Hicks and safety Rodney McLeod each have three interceptions. Hicks is questionable. LB Nigel Bradham (2 Sacks, 9 TFL, 5 PD, 1 INTs, 2 FF) is an exceptional defensive player. He leads the team in tackles with 101.
Philadelphia Offense vs. Cowboys Defense
QB Carson Wentz (62.4 COMP%, 14 TDs, 14 INTs, 31 Sacks) has had a decent rookie season, but he’s certainly made mistakes. The Eagles are averaging 22.7 PPG. Primary running back Ryan Matthews is injured and won’t play. RB Darren Sproles and Byron Marshall will get work in this game. Sproles, who was injured earlier in the season, has 85 rushes for 406 yards and two touchdowns. Leading WR Jordan Matthews (73 REC, 804 YDs, 11.0 AVG, 3 TDs) has been playing through an ankle injury and is questionable.
The Dallas defense has 34 sacks and 19 FF with 11 recovered. They have also notched 55 TFL and 62 PD. Their picks are low at nine. Sack leaders include DE Benson Mayowa (6 Sacks, 4 TFL, 1 FF) and DT Maliek Collins (5 Sacks, 1 TFL, 1 FF). LB Sean Lee (145 TCKLs, 13 TFL), who leads the team in tackles and TFL, is injured and may not play. DL David Irving (4 Sacks, 4 TFL, 4 FF) leads the club in forced fumbles.
