2019 Preview – AFC
As we consider the AFC is our 2019 NFL Preview, we envison the New England Patriots as having the gas to go all the way in the conference. They are not the best team in the AFC, but they have the best duo, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. In the North, despite the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers no longer have Antonio Brown and LeVeon Bell, we find that they still the best team in the division. James Conner replaces Bell JuJu Smith-Shuster looks like he will rapidly take over Brown’s place. Might this be the year, with Baker Mayfield at quarterback, that the Cleveland Browns find their way to the playoffs? They could be a wildcard team.
In the NFC South, we had thought that the Indianapolis Colts would be tops in the division, but the retirement of Andrew Luck has changed all that. Instead, we like the Houston Texans, who are improved enough to not only win the South but to also make it to the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs, who, with Patrick Mahomes under center last season were dynamic on offense, will battle a loaded Los Angeles Chargers club for the division title. We expect that both will make it to the playoffs, but who survives the cut to get to the AFC title game is the big question?

Preview – NFC
In the NFC East, out 2019 NFL Preview envisions a battle between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. Both could certainly make it into the postseason. If Wentz stays healthy, we like the Eagles as the top team. The NFC North looks like one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL. The Chicago Bears are loaded on defense and have an up and coming offense. Then again, the Minnesota Vikings have a lot to offer on both sides of the ball and seem to possess unlimited potential. The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions certainly have enough talent to mount winning campaigns.
The New Orleans Saints are explosive on offense and good enough on defense to, once again, make it to the conference title game. QB Drew Brees shows no signs of slowing down. However, this season, don’t count out the Carolina Panthers when it comes to the NFC South. That is if QB Cam Newton can stay healthy. The West will see the Seattle Seahawks take on the Los Angeles Rams as both fight to secure a spot in the playoffs. When all is said and done, we could see the top two teams from this division in the postseason.
