NFL Week 11 Browns vs Bills Betting Preview
Game Moved to Ford Field in Detroit Michigan
It would be interesting to see what the Browns vs Bills betting point spread would have been if the game had stayed scheduled in Buffalo. Instead, thanks to a thunder snow that left upwards of 70+ inches in Orchard Park the decision was made to move this game to Ford Field in Detroit.
Despite the neutral site field Buffalo (6-3) is still a -7.5 favorite over the Browns on Sunday. Cleveland players took a bus the 2.5 hours to MoTown, but a team from Ohio coming to the Great Lakes State on the week leading up to Ohio State vs Michigan in “The Game” aren’t going to get a favorable reaction. We will see if Lions fans adopt the fun-to-watch Bills and give them a home field advantage even 260+ miles from their own stadium.
Not a Lot of Optimism for Cleveland Here
The Browns are 3-6 on the year, but four of their losses have come by a combined 9 points to the Jets, Falcons, Chargers, and Ravens. While those are some moral victories, the numbers piling up in the loss column still take their toll and they may have come to a head in last week’s 39-17 defeat at Miami as just +3 point road underdogs.
The loss to the Dolphins was a complete defensive meltdown for the Browns, who gave up a 25/32, 285 yard, 3 TD day to Tua Tagovailoa but even worse 195 yards rushing. Buffalo comes into the Browns vs Bills betting matchup ranked #1 in total yards (424.1), #2 in passing (294.2), 9th in rushing (129.9) while scoring the 2nd most points in the NFL (27.8).
The big question ahead of this game is if the Cleveland offense can keep up if the Bills do indeed get theirs. The Browns only had 112 yards rushing against Miami and Nick Chubb has a high water mark of 101 yards rushing over his last four games.
Bills Lose a Home Game
Buffalo loses a home game with the move to Detroit but the Bills should still be able to pick up this win. Buffalo should use a game plan similar to Miami where they got up 24-7 and took away Cleveland’s ability to run the football.
The Bills have the offense to get the big lead on Cleveland and this Buffalo attack may be even better on the turf at Ford Field. The Bills need a nice bounce back game after their 33-30 loss at home to Minnesota last week. Buffalo stopped Minnesota on 4th and goal from the one, but then fumbled in their own end zone to give the Vikings the lead. Josh Allen still drove the Bills for a game tying FG with just :02 left but Minnesota kicked a field goal in OT to get the win.
Free Browns vs Bills Betting Pick
73% of the betting public like Buffalo here, which usually puts up a red flag. Allen’s elbow looks fine for Buffalo and they can do some damage playing on the turf at Ford Field. Expect a crowd that is very pro-Buffalo which will guide the Bills to a double-digit win.
Free Pick: Bills -7.5
